I have created this page to help all our lovely brides and marriers with their entire planning process of their event and also for their hair and make up. It can be so overwhelming chatting to different suppliers, friends and other brides. Especially if you, like many others, are walking this path here for the first time, or maybe even for the second time but felt lost the first time due to that no one was helping you.
This page has it all. I promise I will not miss a thing and even better, it will never get boring as I will update this page regularly with more Information posts, diy and more. I was planning doing this for a while, so I apologies if my writing her maybe is a little all over the place, as I AM SO EXCITED to walk a little, alongside you , on this adventure and help with as much as I can.

Your portal is only accessible with your unique password. We highly recommend to not share any of your details to others so all your forms and private details stay safe. Should you ever forget your log in details or need to change your password, please do let us know and we will assist you further.
What is the portal?
The portal allows you to keep all documents that you have received from us, in one place. No need to scroll through endless emails or find forms, payments, payment plans and more we have sent. Allowing you to manage, manage payments, view invoices, upload information, download forms and adjust your forms and details 24/7. You can find your Portal in your emails via email search ” Welcome to wonderland” or “Portal Login”.

PACKAGES
All packages are designed to allow each individual to choose what they actual need.
Our classic package is a classic hair and make up style, allowing minimum time for hair and make up. Ideal for anyone who doesnt want to spend all morning doing hair and / or make up or for anyone who has very good skin and hair. Each service is about 45-60 min.
The luxury package is allowing a little more time for the skin prep and hair prep on the day. Especially for those who struggle with a skin condition or have sensitive or problematic skin or hair. We also recommend this package should you have very long or thick hair or wish for detailed hairstyles, including boho, glam waves or updos etc.
Our AEOM Package allowing you even more time, including a mini break for having breakfast and more styling time.
All packages exclude a blow dry. Should you wish to add a blow dry, please email us to add a blow dry to your booking, if you haven’t done so already. Please keep in mind, we advise against a blow dry, if you wish to have hollywood waves or glam waves, half ups or hair down hairstyles or have very soft / fine hair.

Enquiry form: this is the form where you can view the enquiry you have made with us and the package you have chosen.
Consultation Form: this is your hair and make up consultation form, where you can share all your sensitivities, allergies, your hair and skin information, and all the details of the look you like to archive on your big day. Including uploading images of hair and make up inspiration and pinterest boards, to allow us to get an idea of the hair and make up you are looking for.

TRIAL
“Trial ” (Consultation / Previews)
We offer both in-person and virtual trials/consultations/previews to make sure you’re 100% happy, and meet your stylist or one of our stylists before the wedding.
- In-Person Trials:
Trials are typically held Monday–Thursday, between 10 am and 2 pm, at our studio in Fort William. Additional charges apply for trials outside of these hours or on weekends. Please bring your veil, hair accessories, or jewelry to your trial if possible. In person trials are £90 for single services and £180.00 for hair and make up services per Person. - Virtual Trials:
Virtual trials are available Monday–Friday, from 10 am to 6 pm. These usually last 30 to 75 minutes. You can share photos, videos, or Pinterest boards beforehand, and we’ll create a mood board for you. Virtual Meetings are £70.00 per Call and last approximately 30/60 minutes.
The trial in person or virtual can be a great opportunity to discuss your styling ideas, any concerns or wishes you might have and to get to know each other better.
A trial is not necessary, but might be important to you. Trials can be booked in person 1:1 with your stylist or virtual.

A trial booked in Person or Virtual is the part where we get to meet and you tell me, Bonny or one of our stylists, all about you. This is your opportunity to ask as many questions as you wish and to try to get as much info over about the makeup / hair you will hopefully be wearing for your big day. I have a very relaxed and down to earth approach and pride myself on building a good relationship and communication with my clients, without creating stressful situation by getting in touch every day, We try to get this specific day set for you where we can have a calm and happy chat about absolutely everything. So it was more than important for me that all stylists working with us, are similar. We will be led by you as to what you are comfortable with makeup wise and we will advise you as to what will enhance you and make you look your best both in person and on your wedding photos.
I/we only use what I consider to be the “gold standard” in cosmetics. All of the products I use are hypo-allergenic and suitable for sensitive skin. Most of my products are vegan and cruelty free and I also try to create as minimal waste as possible and still work on a very high standard of hygiene for the environmental part. The Trial is however an excellent way, to try or speak about the products I / we will be using on you for your wedding and ensuring any rare issues with sensitivity can be addressed. If you travel from further away or have no opportunity to meet us in person before your wedding, you can also book a virtual trial. A virtual trial allows you to meet myself or my team ( the stylist you are booked with) face to face and speak about everything and share all videos and photos with the stylist and chat about what would work for you. you can share your wishes and concerns and ideas for hair accessories and more. We will also share discounts codes with you and help and recommend products for you.
IN PERSON TRIAL:
- At the Studio in Fort William
- £90.00 for a single booking * this can be hair OR make up * per Person
- £180.00 for Hair and make up per Person
- last approximately 3 hours per Person.
- Usually it will just be your makeup/hair which is trialed, however should any of your bridesmaids or other members of your party wish to have a trial also the cost is an additional £90 for make up or hair per person or £180.00 for combo bookings.

VIRTUAL TRIAL

- A virtual trial means chatting to your booked or one of our stylist via Microsoft Teams Video Call. The Video chat has an average duration of 30 – 60 minutes. Of course, if you have more questions, the call can last a little longer too. This is just a average time. The call is to see and chat to your stylist before the actual wedding / elopement day, to chat about any concerns or questions you might have, including sharing all your inspiration photos of hair and / or make up. We recommend to fill out our Hair & make up consultation form, to allow our stylist to read the form prior to your chat to avoid delays and allow more time for yourself and our stylist to fully focus on you.
Trials in Person have to be booked Monday – Thursday and to take place within the Salon / Clinic in Fort William.
Trials outside the salon and requested on a friday to sunday will be fully charged as a normal day rate or has to come to a minimum fee of £200 plus travel and call out, as an additional Fee to your wedding / elopement package.
It is the client’s responsibility to book a trial online or via email.
We kindly ask to book online via the online booking system. Please DO NOT contact the salon for any trial appointments or your wedding enquiry as this is a complete different business and doesn’t manage our bookings or has access to your privacy details.
How to book a Trial:
A trial can be booked via the online booking system. These are only for Trials in person at the Salon in Fort William or virtual (!) Should you wish to book a trial outside the salon or Friday to Sunday, please contact us via contact@bonnyswonderland.co.uk.
If you prefer to book the trial/ preview/ consultation with the stylist that is assigned for you; please contact us to check who your stylist is, before booking a trial.
Otherwise, you can book a trial in person or online with of our stylists. We work very closely together and all information will be recorded and shared with the Stylist assigned to you. In more detail: Virtual Trials will be recorded and the information will be forwarded to the stylists who is booked for your wedding day. This includes any information that is shared with the stylist that is booked for your wedding. Example;
Your assigned stylist for the day of your event is Bonny.
You havent checked who your stylists is OR you cant find any availability with Bonny for a Trial, so you booked with Sophie instead.
Sophie will then take notes and photos of the hair and / or make up created during the in Person Trial and forward this to Bonny OR if you booked a virtual trial with Sophie, Sophie will then forward all information to Bonny after chatting to you including the screen recording will be shared with Bonny. All virtual Trials are recorded for training purposes AND for the stylist to review all information again closer to your wedding date.

PRE EVENT
I know preparing for such an important date can be a bit overwhelming, but I’m here to help! Here are my tips:
- Take all your important items out the night before.
This will not only allow you to relax in the morning and avoids any kind of stress, trying to find anything, but also allows your photographer, to capture those items, while you getting your hair and make up done. - Steam your outfit the night before.
Having your hair and make up done and being surrounded by steam afterwards is not beneficial for your hair and / or make up and can cause the styling to break down, hair to go frizzy, curls to drop and make up to melt off. This includes your bridal party. Don’t risk it 🙂 - Skin and Hair prep
prep your skin and hair for your event and for the styling. - Hydrate and enjoy
Eat and drink, create a playlist with your most favourite songs and enjoy the morning/day.
THE DAY
What we need from you:
- a space that allows the stylist to set up. We recommend an area that is spacious enough for a table, a chair and has access to sockets / outlets.
- More than 1 stylist: please allow enough space for the amount of stylist you booked plus the people getting their hair and / or make up done. Unsure of the space? Email us a photo of the space you have in mind and we will let you know if it works for us 🙂
- a chair with a lower back (if possible) and a table for each stylist ( or one big dining table if multiple stylists and the space is enough)
- Allow us to set up in an area, that is clear from any personal belongings and not in front of cupboards or wardrobes that you need to access
- Follow the schedule to avoid delays
- Make sure you completed your hair / make up questionnaire
- Relax and enjoy every second of your day.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Please have dry hair, if you have not booked a blow dry
- If you havent booked a blow dry :
please wash and dry your hair the day before or 2 days before: double cleanse ( wash twice) your hair with shampoo and make sure the shampoo is fully washed out. ( Shampoo, massage deeply, wash and fully rinse out and do the same again. The first round will get rid of all the oils and ” dirt ” the second round will cleanse. - Add mousse to your hair and fully blow dry it.
Braid your hair or use a hair net to avoid the hair going frizzy during the night, if you have longer than chin to shoulder length hair. - If you have booked a blow dry and is showing in your estimate:
Please wash your hair before the stylist arrive to have towel dry hair when sitting in the styling chair - If you get make up done:
Double cleanse your face in the morning and make sure all make up is off, especially glue on lashes and old mascara. - Check the schedule and stick to the schedule 🙂

HAIR 101
What kind of hair do I have?
Is it dry, frizzy, course, curly, fine, wavy, static, thin, thick, short , long… does it naturally hold a curl well or long? Does it dry quickly? How often do you usually wash your hair? Does it go greasy quickly?
Thats a question you should ask yourself, to help understand and choose your hairstyle for the wedding day better.
Choose a hairstyle that works for your hair, that you know will stay and last because you had it many times before. Of course, its your wedding / elopement / event day and you want to look your best and maybe a little different to what you usually do. You still absolutely can. I always recommend to do what you would usually do and on the day, we just enhance it, make it the best version of what you would normally do.
CUT & COLOUR
Everyone wants fresh and healthy looking hair and I have seen many times that someone is trying to let their hair grow as long as possible. To be honest, a fresh cut always helps your hair and allows your hair to look healthy, especially if you are planning on keeping your hair down or half up. The dead thin ends can get easily tangled and are so see through that most times it doesn’t look the best, when styling.
Get your hair appointment booked, that you have a fresh cut and colour if needed.
WASH AND PREP ( No blow dry booked – For all hair types & Styles)
Especially if you like your hair down or half up, I recommend to wash it 1-2 days before the wedding day. When shampooing the hair, make sure you massage the product in well. Fully rinse out the product. Then go for a second round shampoo to remove all the ” dirt” from the hair. Rinse out with water a few times and make sure that all product is fully washed out. It sometimes gives you a squeaky kind of feeling. A lot of people think after washing their hair, that their hair gets super greasy or doesn’t dry well and most times its because the products have not been washed out properly and been left in the hair and on the scalp. DO NOT use any conditioner close to your scalp and don’t use heavy masks and conditioner in your hair. Most of these products can make your hair super soft or harder / impossible to style, should you have super fine and straight hair for example.
Use a volume mousse and apply in your towel dry hair, then blow dry and make sure the hair is fully dry before going to bed. To avoid frizzy and static hair or breakage, use a silk pillow case, or cover for the hair and braid your hair loosely before going to bed.

CHOOSE YOUR STYLE
What is the right hairstyle for you? What would you like to archive on the day?
Keep in mind when having an event outside in scotland, that there can be a high chance, of having all season in one day.
Planning on going climbing or hiking? It might get windy up there 🙂
The views and the photogtaphs will look incredible! And the last thing you want is, that your outfit , your veil, ribbons, or other dances in the wind, apart from your hair that is not moving at all. We are not trying to create a helmet and dont want to drown your hair in hairspray, to create this crispy , dry and stiff hair look. Everything should work together and also match the scenery you are in.
I am not saying have you hair all up and out of the face! I suggest to feel your hair and understand your hair. What is it usually doing? Go with a hairstyle that will work for you or get accessories, that will support your hair, to create a specific look.
Lets be realistic, when choosing our hairstyle. If your hair is very fine, very thin, doesnt hold a curl at all and not having extensions, then having your hair down and curly or hollywood glam waves, will be most likely not the right choice for your hair.
If you have very short hair or shorter hair, or very fine etc. then a volume high russian style bun, will most likely be the wrong choice for your hair.
And yes, it is a very special day and you want to look your best and maybe want to go for something that you never had before. Its not impossible, there is a BUT. Hear me out.
You can of course have hollywood glam waves. You can absolutely have a high bun or the reversed french twist or a very volume textured updo style or hair down, BUT you might need to get a few extras, for example:

Hair extensions will allow more texture, longer and thicker hair that we can style, it will help your curls to last a little longer and supports your hollywood glam hair, stay in place better. - risk of drop

You will receive a time schedule from us prior to your wedding date. Usually 1-2 weeks before the wedding day. If you have a bridal party booked in with us, please send us an order who you would like to get done first and who last on the day. For example:

Final touches means that i will apply lipstick or do any final touches that needing to be done. This could include adding your veil or other small things, like lipstick application, blush or other. We will start packing after the final touches are completed and you are happy with the final look. Please allow us 30 minutes to pack up. Final touches do not mean that you are ready dressed and ready to leave. It only means that we finish the hair and / or make up and you can get dressed afterwards.

When to have getting ready photographs:
You can discuss getting ready photographs with your booked photographer / videographer. Usually we arrive BEFORE to have you mostly ready and just capture the final touches for your hair and makeup.

Should you wish Pictures of the hair and make up process, we recommend the photographers to arrive about 30 – 60 minutes before the final touches. This will allow the photographers to take photos of your wedding outfit, all other items beforehand and take pictures of your other half etc, and can then take shots of the final touches of your hair / make up
Can you help me with my dress?
OF COURSE we can. We have buttoned up so many dresses that we feel like we became professionals in helping our beautiful brides in their wedding dress. If you need help we are here for you.

I don’t have a witness, could you be our witness?
We have been a witness for a few weddings already and have no problem at all with being a witness for your wedding / elopement day. Just let us know prior in advance to allow us more time for your booking. In the case of travelling and extra hours , there might be a slight extra charge. This depends on time and travel.

Yes, you can use your own products. We are happy to use your products on the wedding day. We cant guarantee how long the make up would last if they are products we don’t use. We do not take any responsibility for any reactions caused by the products. The price will not reduce for using your own products and materials.

We can not remove acne, skin texture , wrinkles or volume of the body or face. We can enhance your natural beauty and cover up spots to make you look the best version of yourself and to enhance the natural beauty of yourself.

If your hair doesn’t take a curl or any volume, than choosing a hairstyle with curls and volume isn’t recommended, as your hair will not change on your wedding day. This includes make up too.

Due to that we keep our equipment depotted due to hygiene reasons it is impossible for us to give the products to you afterwards. We recommend to shop the lipstick that you like beforehand so you have the colour you like and your product to top up your lipstick during the day.
A great way of finding the right colour for you is to go into a beauty counter to try different lipstick shades on you or even go into a store and get some swap samples. Do I need to bring anything?
If you like to have specific hair accessories, your veil, flowers, your dress, your perfume, your nail polish, etc. These are the kind of things that you would have to organise yourself, as we only provide hair and make up services and are only equipped for hair and makeup. You do not need to buy your own make up or hair pins. Of course you can buy everything yourself if you ONLY want to have specific products in your hair or for your make up. But its not a must at all 🙂

No. Unfortunately I cannot guarantee a complete free of everything and some products may not class as 100% vegan and / or cruelty free due to that they come from a manufacturer where other products that are not vegan or cruelty free get produced as well. So the Brand itself would say they are cruelty free and vegan but wouldn’t confirm this to 100%. I am doing my best to work as clean as possible and to the best of my knowledge for the environment and over the years of experience, to use only, what i class as the gold standard for hair and make up.

You can access this portal 24/7 and can see all your forms, your agreement and estimate at all times.

Over my budget, what can I do?
We understand that weddings/elopements can sometimes go over the budget you were thinking of in the first place and you might need to make some cuts or rearrange things. We have created amazing courses and classes for our brides that might fit your budget better. Learn how to do your own hair and / or make up via a zoom class or in Person. Due to popular demand, a minimum spend of £200 is required in order to proceed with a Wedding Day booking with BONNYS WONDERLAND LTD. (The minimum spend does not include our travel or call out fees) *Anything outside of Fort William (5mile) be charged 0.75p per mile plus a £70.00 call out fee. We do not charge an hourly rate on top for our travel* or our services. For larger bridal parties, members of the Bonnys wonderland bride TRIBE can be provided to ensure the smooth running of your day for an additional FEE of £150 including the 2nd call out fee. An assistant will automatically be added for bridal parties more than 5 combo bookings or if the starting time would be earlier than 6:00 am ( for more than 1 person). *Should we start earlier than 6.00AM there will be a early call fee of £100 and £150 PLUS £0.95/PER MILE for any call outs before 4AM, added to the overall estimate and fixed call out fee.

Absolutely you can. Please bare in mind that we can not guarantee the pricing to stay the same due to annual increases. Your date will be secured with your paid booking fee. Should your booking exceed the time of 12 months from the estimate , there can be a price increase up to 20% each year. It might not happen, but a possibility is there. Example: We all have not thought that we all pay what we pay now for grocery shopping , electricity, fuel and other 3 years ago. Not even imagined it last year. We will of course not surprise you with huge increase and if you have any questions regarding yearly increases on the market, please feel free to contact us or ask us during your booked trial and we are happy to answer all your questions in detail.

No. After your booking is confirmed, we will be in touch again about 2 weeks prior to your event date to confirm the schedule for the day, final payments , arrival and set up information and checking in. You can of course contact us via email should you have any concerns or questions. Also, all information, forms, payments, and more can be found in your Portal. 🙂
