When do I need to pay the final balance?

Usually about 2 weeks prior to your event, after the final details and schedule are confirmed.

Can I add services after I have already paid my booking fee?

Yes, absolutely! You can add services or upgrade your package at any time, even after booking with us.

When do I receive my schedule?

You will receive an email about 2–3 weeks prior to your event to confirm your address, services, and times for the day so we can create your schedule. Your estimate will be updated accordingly after final details are confirmed.

What time do you arrive?

You will receive a time schedule from us around 2 weeks before your wedding day. If you have a bridal party booked, please send us the order in which you’d like members to be styled (e.g.,
“Lisa – Marrier’s maid: Hair and makeup
Laura – Mother of the marrier: Hair”)
We recommend having the marrier(s) styled last or second last.

How long will the styling take?

We want your day to be as relaxed as possible — it’s all about the GOOD VIBES!
Recommended timing:

• 2–3 hours for marrier(s) (hair and makeup)

• 45–60 minutes for each additional person/service
  We’ll create a timeline so you’re ready 1 to 1.5 hours before your ceremony, allowing time for getting dressed, snacks, photos, and travel. Setup and pack-up each take approximately 30 minutes.

Example timeline:
Bonnys Wonderland Arrival Time: 6:00 am
Start Bridal Hair & Makeup: 6:30 am
Finish & Final Touches: 9:00 am (most photographers take getting ready photos here)
Packing: 9:15 am
Leaving: 9:45 am

Final Touches:
This means applying lipstick or other small finishing details like adding your veil. Final touches do not mean you are dressed and ready to leave. We start packing after you’re happy with your look, which takes about 30 minutes.

What does the timeline mean that you send me?

The timeline outlines the recommended times for arrival, setup, styling, and pack-up to keep your day running smoothly.

Elopements / Marriers only:

For a super relaxed morning, plan about 2 hours for single bookings or 3 hours for hair and makeup, including setup time, depending on your package.

When should getting ready photographs be taken?

Discuss this with your photographer/videographer. Usually, we arrive before to have you mostly ready for final touches photos. If you want photos of the hair and makeup process, have the photographer arrive 30 minutes before final touches to capture outfit details and preparation shots.

Can you help me with my dress?

Of course! We’ve buttoned up so many dresses that we’ve become pros. Just ask!

I don’t have a witness, could you be our witness?

Yes, we’ve been witnesses for weddings and elopements before and can do so for yours. Please let us know in advance, especially if travel or extra hours are involved, as additional charges may apply.

Do I have to book a trial?

No, but it’s recommended if you have questions or want to discuss your styling ideas. Trials can be in person or virtual.

Can I use my own products?

Yes, but we can’t guarantee how long your makeup will last with products we don’t use, and we are not responsible for any reactions. Pricing does not change if you provide your own products.

When should I wash my hair?

You can wash your hair the day before or the day of your wedding. If washing the day of, please inform us as blow dries are not included and will add about 30+ minutes per person. Additional fees may apply for unplanned blow dries. All stylings and packages are stylings from dry hair. No blow drys are included and need to be booked separately. 

Styling Ideas

You can upload your styling photos and Pinterest boards in your consultation form, accessible 24/7 via your client portal. This form and all your information will be shared with your assigned stylist to prepare for your big day.

We recommend clip-in human hair extensions for fine or thin hair, or hair that doesn’t hold curls, to help styles last longer. It’s not necessary but helpful for big updos, half-ups, or styles worn down.

What if I don’t have a trial booked?

No problem! About 65% of our clients skip trials. You’ll receive a form to share your preferences, photos, and ideas, which your stylist will review beforehand. We recommend choosing a few different looks you like to help guide your styling on the day.

PRO TIP:

Stay yourself! Your wedding day look should reflect your usual style to avoid regrets. If you usually wear your hair down, keep it down. If you usually wear minimal makeup, keep it natural. We enhance your natural beauty and can focus on eyes, skin, or lips—whatever feels most like you.

Will the styling last?

We use our experience to create long-lasting hair and makeup, but factors like weather, activities, and your natural hair and skin type also affect the look. Choosing styles suited to your hair texture and skin is important.

Can I buy lipstick from you?

If you book our “All Eyes on Me” package, yes! Otherwise, we don’t sell products due to hygiene reasons. We recommend shopping for your preferred lipstick shade beforehand or using our discount code LFTFBONNY at lookfantastic.com for up to 20% off selected products. Check our website shop for favorite lipsticks and hair products.

What products do you work with?

We work with a wide range of cosmetics, including vegan and cruelty-free brands, suitable for all hair and skin types.

Do I need to bring anything?

Bring any specific hair accessories, veil, flowers, dress, perfume, or nail polish you want. We provide all hair and makeup products, so no need to bring your own unless you prefer specific items.

Are all your products vegan and cruelty-free?

No, we cannot guarantee 100% vegan or cruelty-free products because some brands share manufacturing facilities with non-vegan or non-cruelty-free products. We strive to use the highest standards possible for the environment and quality.

How do I secure my booking with you?

After reviewing your estimate and marriers agreement, ensure all details are correct. Sign the agreement and pay the booking fee to secure your date. You’ll receive login details for your client portal, accessible 24/7, where you can find forms, agreements, and estimates anytime.

What if I’m running late?

If members of the party are running late, this may delay the entire schedule. We schedule timing according to services but significant lateness affects everyone. We ask that you follow the schedule we provide. If someone is very late, we usually start with the next person and add the late person to the end of the schedule. This may mean their styling runs late or may not be completed.

Minimum Spend and Travel Fees

Due to popular demand, a minimum spend of £200 is required to proceed with a Wedding Day booking with BONNYS WONDERLAND LTD. (This minimum spend does not include travel or call-out fees.)

Current minimum spend pricing is for 2025 and may change each year.

Travel fees apply outside of Fort William (5 miles) at £0.75 per mile plus a £70 call-out fee. We do not charge an hourly rate for travel or services.

For larger bridal parties, members of the Bonnys Wonderland Bride TRIBE can be provided to help your day run smoothly for an additional fee of £150, including the 2nd call-out fee. An assistant is automatically added for bridal parties with more than 5 combo bookings or if the start time is earlier than 6:00 am (for more than 1 person).

If the start time is earlier than 6:00 am, an early call fee of £100 applies, and for call-outs before 4:00 am, a fee of £150 plus miles is added to the overall estimate.

Can I book and secure my wedding/elopement with you 2–3 years in advance?

Absolutely! Please note that pricing is subject to change due to annual increases. Your date will be secured with your paid booking fee. If your booking exceeds 12 months from the estimate, a price increase may apply. We will communicate any changes openly.

Will someone be in touch with me 24/7?

I have personally designed and written this entire website and all emails you will receive from us. While I may schedule a few emails leading up to your wedding, I keep communications to a minimum to avoid overwhelming you.

The next main time I’ll be in touch is about 2 to 3 weeks before your event to confirm final details, arrival, and setup information.

Apart from that, you can access all important links, forms, and information anytime through your client portal, which I share with you in your Welcome Email after booking confirmation.

Do you offer discounts or off-peak pricing?

We do not offer discounts or off-peak pricing. However, we’re always happy to guide and assist you in finding the right services and packages that suit both your needs and your budget. Our goal is to create a perfect styling experience that works for you.

Who is my stylist?
Feel free to email us to find out who your assigned stylist is for the day. While we always aim to keep your assigned stylist with you on the day, we want to be transparent—on rare occasions, unexpected circumstances may require a change. Please know that in such unlikely events, we always have a trusted backup stylist on standby, and you’ll be in the hands of someone from our highly skilled, close-knit team.

If a change is necessary, please note that the travel fee will be updated to reflect the new stylist’s location. We’ll keep you informed of any changes well in advance.

Why Might My Stylist Change?

Our goal is always to match you with the stylist who is best suited to your desired look — especially when it comes to very specific styles like big boho braids, sleek textured updos, or any other signature finish.

Sometimes, even after assigning a stylist who is confident in all styles, we may notice that another stylist on our team specialises in the exact look you’ve requested. In that case, we may decide to reassign your stylist to make sure you’re getting the very best match.

For example:
You’re initially assigned to Stylist A (confident in all bridal styles), but we see you’re wanting a very defined boho braid. If Stylist C is our in-house braid expert and available for your date, we may suggest switching to her to elevate the final result.

We will always let you know first if this switch would change your overall pricing (e.g. due to travel costs) and give you the option to keep your original stylist if you prefer.

We only ever do this to make sure you get the best possible result — your final look and experience are what matter most.

Do you cut or colour hair? 

• No we do not offer hair cuts or colours and recommend to book an appointment with your hairdresser prior to your event. 

Do I Need Clip-In Hair Extensions for My Wedding Day?

Clip-in hair extensions are not essential, but they can make a huge difference depending on your natural hair and the style you have in mind.

If you have fine, thin, or shoulder-length hair, extensions can add fullness, length, and volume, especially for styles like:

• Boho braids

• Half-up half-down styles

• Textured updos with height or body

• Romantic, soft waves

They help us create more dramatic or fuller shapes that simply wouldn’t be possible with fine or shorter hair alone.

However, if you already have thick or long hair, extensions are usually not needed unless you’re after a very specific look or want extra fullness in a braid or ponytail.

💡 We only work with 100% real human hair extensions (not synthetic), as they need to hold heat and styling properly. Other options are possible, depending on the hairstyle 

They are an investment, so it’s completely up to you. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to offer guidance during your trial or consultation to help you decide whether extensions would benefit your chosen style.

Can You Recommend or Buy Hair Extensions for Me?

We don’t purchase hair extensions on your behalf, but we’ve put together a recommended list of clip-in extensions that we know work well. These are brands and types we’ve used successfully with previous clients and feel confident styling.

If the extensions you’re considering aren’t on our list, it simply means we haven’t worked with them before — so we can’t vouch for their quality, colour match, or how well they hold heat and style.

For personalised advice on hair extensions, we always recommend speaking directly to a professional hairdresser or the hair extension company you’re considering, especially for colour matching and choosing the right weight and length.
